A superb example of midcentury Norwegian enamel jewellery by Oystein Balle. The brooch featues multi coloured enamel in an abstract design on sterling silver gilt.
CONDITION The brooch is in excellent vintage condition. There is no damage to the enamel, and there is only superficial age-related wear to the sterling silver gilt. The brooch fastens securely with a simple C clasp.
MEASUREMENTS The butterfly is approximately 45 mm across and 30 mm high.
STAMPS The back of the brooch is stamped BALLE 925S STERLING NORWAY.
