A gorgeous multi coloured enamel butterfly brooch by David-Andersen of Norway. This is the large size of this brooch at 55 mm across (just under 2 1/4 inches). The most dominant colour in this brooch is purple, with touches of red and green. The brooch is guilloche enamel on sterling silver gilt.
CONDITION The brooch is in excellent vintage condition. There is no damage to the enamel at all, and only superficial age-related wear to the silver gilt on the back of the brooch. The brooch fastens securely with a rollover clasp.
MEASUREMENTS The butterfly is approximately 55 mm across and 31 mm high.
STAMPS The back of the brooch is stamped DAVID-ANDERSEN NORWAY STERLING 925S.
