A very beautiful and large vintage fish brooch from David Andersen, Norway. The designer was Willy Winnaess. This lovely angel fish is in purple and pale blue enamel on sterling silver gilt. The fish has black enamel stripes and a striking green eye. A really standout piece.
CONDITION The brooch is in excellent vintage condition. The enamel is perfect. There are some superficial age-related marks on the back. The brooch fastens securely with a rollover clasp.
MEASUREMENTS The brooch is approximately 60 mm across and 47 mm high.
STAMPS The back of the brooch is stamped for David Andersen with D-A and the Andersen maker's mark. It is also stamped 925S NORWAY STERLING. It also has the W in a circle for Willy Winnaess, the designer of the brooch.
