A large white orchid brooch by Aksel Holmsen of Norway. This striking brooch is in white enamel on sterling silver gilt.
CONDITION The brooch is in very good vintage condition with no damage at all to the enamel. There is superficial wear and tarnish to the sterling silver gilt on the back of the brooch. The brooch fastens securely with a simple C clasp.
MEASUREMENTS The brooch is approximately 65 mm across and about 55 mm high.
STAMPS The brooch is signed with Aksel Holmsen's maker's mark, NORWAY, STERLING, 925S.
